  • arrowSenior Systems Engineer
    Position Overview:

    The Senior Systems Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the in- house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Senior Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    Strategy & Planning

    • Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
    • Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.

    Acquisition & Deployment

    • Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
    • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
    • Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
    • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.
    • Operational Management

    • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
    • Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmer and development teams.
    • Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
    • Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
    • Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware and other applications.
    • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes and service records.
    • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
    • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
    • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
    • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
    • Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.

    Qualifications:

    • 8+ years’ experience with IT operations, systems monitoring, and production environment support in Windows.
    • 5+ years’ experience with Windows Server and Windows domain environments.
    • 5+ years’ experience with Active Directory management (Group Policy experience a plus)
    • 5+ years’ experience with incident management systems, testing, bug tracking, etc. (experience with TFS a plus)
    • 3 years’ experience with Hyper-V.
    • 3+ years’ experience with building and managing SQL Server environment.
    • 2+ years’ experience with unified messaging systems (Shoretel experience or equivalent a huge plus).
    • 2+ years’ experience with firewalls, routers, switches, etc. (Experience with SonicWall a plus).
    • 2+ years’ overall experience scripting with PowerShell, VBScript.
    • Working knowledge and experience with RedHat Linux.
    • Experience with Travel & Tourism database systems a plus.
    • Experience with desktop operating system support.
    • Solid application support experience.
    • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
    • Strong documentation skills.
    • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years + IT work experience, or equivalent IT work experience.
    • Ability to travel internationally.

    Salary: Commensurate with experience

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    • Draft itineraries
    • Providing group travel details to the Operations, Reservations and Admin staff
    • Assemble group travel documents
    • Communicate all aspects of group travel to operations and onboard teams through e-mails and spreadsheets
    • Assist in answering calls, fielding enquiries for distribution, and being the first point of communication for the group department
    • Work with Director of Sales to track past traveled follow-up
    • Assist in entering group reservations into central reservations system and update as needed
    • Assist in organizing familiarization trips for travel agents
    • Assist in organizing Clipper Vacations seasonal excursions
    • Assist in meeting and checking-in groups prior to departure
    • Assist with sales reports
    • Conduct research on potential prospects and create reports for Coordinator and Account Manager to follow up on
    • Coordinate brochure mail outs as needed to outside sales team
    • Maintain up to date knowledge of all of Clipper Vacations’ offerings

    Qualifications and Skills Required:

    • Ability to work as part of a team with minimal direct supervision
    • Travel/Hospitality experience preferred

    Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative graphic designer to lead visual strategy, creative ideation and execution across the company. You will work on a variety of design projects across digital and print advertising production, marketing landing pages, social media, website and online magazine graphics, brand identity, brochure layout and design, signage and other projects. The role will be part of Clipper’s marketing team and report up to the VP of Marketing.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    • Lead seasonal campaign creative planning and visual execution (website graphics, web banners ads, HTML emails, print and digital ads)
    • Manage and execute against all internal design requests across departments
    • Manage and maintain brand standards across all visual executions
    • Manage all advertising production cycle as well as direct coordination with media outlets for advertising placement submission
    • Maintain a proactive creative mindset with new design concepts, graphics and layouts
    • Coordinate with other freelance graphic designers, printers and other partners/vendors
    • Amend final design with submitted feedback to gain full approval
    • Work with a wide range of graphic design software and leading technologies (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress, HTML5, Flash, etc.)
    • Proficient at time, deadlines and budget management/cost estimates

    Qualifications and Skills Required:

    • 5-7 years of graphic design experience (travel and tourism experience preferred)
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Exceptionally strong graphic design skills and a strong portfolio
    • Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present and sell in ideas to all levels of management and leadership
    • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to accept and apply feedback
    • Versatile, creative thinker and innovator with strong implementation skills
    • Experience managing vendors (e.g. other graphic designers, print vendors, etc.)
    • Ability to travel regionally and in Canada
