  • arrowSeasonal Night Custodian

    Position Overview:

    Are you a night person? Do you enjoy listening to music while you work? Clipper has an opening for Seasonal Night Custodian/Dock Hand positions. We are looking for candidates with one year experience in cleaning and janitorial work.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    • Custodian: Detail clean the boats and the terminal from top to bottom, including disinfecting, sanitizing, vacuuming, carpet shampooing, wet-mopping, floor waxing, dusting and empty trash/recycling to collection bins.
    • Dock Hand: Handle mooring lines, operate the luggage crane, luggage handling, provide security to the facility. No Dock Hand experience? No problem. We will train you!
    • Security: Make security rounds of the boats and facility.

    Qualifications and Skills Required:

    • An eye for detail and a commitment to high standards
    • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks, independently and in a team, little or no supervision
    • Punctual, reliable and trustworthy is key
    • Ability to remain awake and alert throughout the night shift is required
    • Bending, stooping, crawling, lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, pushing/pulling up to 60 pounds manually

    Hours: Full time, Seasonal 4:30 pm to 3:30 am – alternating work weeks from Sunday to Tuesday/Wednesday. Enjoy 3 or 4 days off each week!

    Salary: A competitive hourly wage of $15.50 per hour

    Position Overview:

    The Warehouse/Shore Support team is responsible for preparing cargo manifests, shipping, receiving, ordering and distribution of vessel stock. Shore Support also performs dockhand duties such as line handling, crane and pallet jack operation, as well as light janitorial duties. No dock hand experience? We will train you. This position is Full Time Seasonal with the potential for year round.

    Position Overview:

    The Project Manager is responsible for cultivating strategic partner relationships, developing new product, managing existing product performance, and supporting Clipper’s overall strategic goals and objectives. This role involves product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, including: Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with sales and marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This individual will report to the Director of Product Development & Strategy and work closely across departments, including reservations, sales and marketing teams.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    • Regularly analyze performance of Clipper Vacations products and revenue, generate relevant reports and action plans
    • Identify and assist Director with developing new product opportunities that have potential to deliver additional revenue
    • Manage current product performance; Identify and communicate product gaps and needs, by analyzing revenue data and our customer experience
    • Support with annual product contracting and pricing
    • Work with Director to launch new Clipper Partner program
    • Maintain existing partner communication and relationships, cultivate new partnerships
    • Coordinate with Marketing team on implementing product updates and new product content into website
    • Represent and promote Clipper brand at tourism trade events and consumer shows in the U.S. and Canada, as required

    Qualifications and Skills Required:

    • 5-7 years of product marketing experience (travel and tourism experience preferred)
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Strong excel and data analysis proficiency
    • Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management and leadership
    • Sound strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to anticipate marketing trends and turn insights into action
    • Versatile, creative thinker and innovator with strong implementation skills
    • Excellent relationship, partner and collaboration skills
    • Travel/Hospitality experience preferred, but not required
    • Ability to travel in U.S. and Canada

    • Prepare daily bank deposits and deposit journal entries
    • Manage Petty Cash
    • Reconcile bank accounts
    • Complete GL account reconciliations
    • Prepare journal entries
    • Perform general office duties (e.g., filing, scanning, copying, etc)

    Qualifications and Skills Required:

    Perfect position for a college undergraduate or recent graduate with excellent communication skills who is seeking work and experience to further develop their accounting abilities. Must be a fast learner and capable of working independently. Other requirements include intermediate knowledge of Excel, strong attention to detail, cash handling experience, typing, and 10-key by touch, and enjoy working in a team environment.

The On Board Attendant position offers a fun, rewarding and challenging job, working on the water and meeting new friends. Your primary job will involve high interaction with passengers and providing excellent customer service. This position is full-time through October 1, 2017, with potential for full-time, year-round employment. Enjoy the beautiful destination of Victoria, British Columbia!
    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    • Sell Clipper products while underway and taking every available opportunity to promote these sales and reach team goals for Food, Beverage, Sightseeing Tours, Gift Shop and Duty Free
    • Using Point of Sales system
    • Luggage handling
    • Provide friendly and professional service to customers
    • Deckhand mariner duties – no experience required, we will train you!
    • Participate in a USCG Basic Safety training course – paid for by Clipper

    Qualifications and Skills Required: candidates must possess these attributes to be considered

    • A US Passport, Passport Card or Enhanced Driver’s License for entry into Canada and re-entry into U.S.
    • No DUI/DWI, negligent driving or felony convictions as this may impede entry into Canada
    • Pass a required Pre-Employment Drug Screen (including Marijuana) and submit to random USCG drug tests
    • Able to lift 70 lbs
    • Available to work any shift, including weekends and holidays

    • Experience in restaurant, hospitality and customer service with emphasis in sales
