    Clipper Navigation, Inc. based in Seattle, Washington and Victoria, Canada is searching for a creative, seasoned marketing leader to join the leadership team as Vice President of Marketing, reporting to the COO. The ideal candidate will be a focused strategist who has a solid track record of digital marketing and integrated campaigns to increase Clipper’s share of the regional travel market and promote Clipper’s value proposition. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate marketing professional to join a well-established company that is poised for growth and to reshape the communication and brand strategy.     Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    • Key focus areas will include digital innovation, campaign development, content strategy, social strategy, and paid media strategy
    • Ability to inform, inspire and engage internal and external teams in emerging digital marketing opportunities
    • Partner closely with Leadership to translate business objectives into campaigns that maximize revenue; accountable for market share and revenue growth targets
    • Create and manage the measurement process around social media, digital and content strategies
    • Effectively manage the development and spend of brand digital advertising investments
    • Work closely with the creative team to ensure brand consistency throughout the physical and digital channels
    • Oversee outside partners to deliver against content and digital needs

    • Strategic planning including corporate positioning market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning
    • Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, analyst and market research management, and website design and content either directly or on an outsourced basis
    • Define and direct marketing programs for demand creation, lead generation and interface with sales for lead tracking and management
    • Work closely with Director of Sales to develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs
    • Oversee product management including market and customer research for market and product requirements, interface with engineering for product development, product pricing and product lifecycle management

    Qualifications and Skills Required:

    • 8-10 years marketing experience with a specific emphasis in digital, brand strategy, and/or agency roles. Current senior-level experience in global branding is highly desirable – especially as a lead for branding and digital initiatives
    • Travel/Hospitality experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Advertising. Master’s degree is preferred
    • Progressive career experience as a Marketing Director with superior creative, analytic, and strategic skills
    • Prior experience leading and executing the development of digital and non-digital campaigns
      Ability to translate marketing strategies into clear, concise and digitally focused briefs that are consistent with the brand vision
    • Demonstrated ability to present, articulate and sell concepts to senior leadership by discussing how those concepts meet the brand’s strategic marketing and financial objectives
    • Demonstrated ability to delegate, motivate, and manage an in-house team while managing outside resources
    • Ability to work within established budgeting and scheduling parameters, negotiate effectively with outside vendors and manage department activities to ensure teamwork and a successful flow of work through the department
    • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
    • Possesses the ability to be open-minded, flexible, collaborative, and cooperative with a unique blend of strategic creativity and corporate understanding, able to foster positive relationships and interaction with all levels of management
    • Ability to travel regionally and in Canada

    Clipper Navigation, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Sales who will drive sales of Clipper product offerings. Reporting to the COO, the ideal candidate will have a personal proven track record of increasing sales revenue as well as successfully inspiring and managing a sales team to do the same.

    The primary focus of this role will be to direct and manage the sales of the Clipper’s products and services through partner relationships. Ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue through positive planning, and deployment.

    This is a unique opportunity for a passionate sales professional to join a well-established company that is poised for growth and to help create new sales partnerships, communication and strategy for Clipper. Compensation commensurate with experience. Based in Seattle.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    • Development of partner coverage plans, including recruitment of new partners
    • Coordinate partner onboarding and ongoing partner enablement
    • Business planning with partners to include quarterly business reviews
    • Solicit, negotiate and confirm new and repeat business through various efforts (outside sales calls, telemarketing, direct mail, referrals, networking, internet prospecting, etc.) to maximize revenues to meet/exceed goals
    • Notify and coordinate customer specifications with other departments to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects
    • Maintain and leverage a professional network that will help grow overall revenue

    • Demonstrate proven ability to identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long term sales and earnings
    • Organize and implement strategic sales plan activities and sales goals. Supervise execution to ensure revenue projections are met for all team members

    Qualifications and Required Skills:

    • Minimum of 5-8 years sales team management and direct sales experience required
    • Travel/Hospitality experience preferred
    • Experience in strategic business planning and driving execution against plan
    • Strong analytical skills required
    • Proven track record driving sales, revenue growth and account management required
    • Proven track record of expanding revenue and entering new markets through creative techniques
    • Proven track record in networking, persuasion, identifying customer needs, negotiating and closing deals
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Proven ability to build and lead a successful sales team and able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
    • Ability to travel regionally and in Canada
    • Proficiency with MS Office & CRM Tools such as ACT!, Sales Force

  • arrowPM SHORE SUPPORT / OVERNIGHT CUSTODIAN (SEATTLE)
    Work for Seattle’s iconic Victoria Clipper; the leading travel and tourism company in the Pacific Northwest! We are looking for upbeat and driven individuals to join our PM Shore Support Team. Your primary job will be providing dockside and janitorial support overnight to all Clipper vessels and the terminal. Come work on the beautiful Seattle waterfront every day; the view is great!

    Your duties include greeting Clipper vessels and assisting with the unloading of passenger luggage, cleaning Clipper vessels top to bottom, and other custodial tasks to prepare passenger areas for loading and unloading operations. You’ll also be responsible for operating the luggage crane, handling mooring lines and other dockhand duties, as well as making periodic sweeps of the facility and vessels in compliance with our security policies.

    Custodial duties include (but are not limited to):

    • Collecting and removing trash from vessels and terminal and transporting to a central receptacle
    • High and low dusting
    • Cleaning and disinfecting passenger areas of the vessels, including trays, tables, seats, armrests, seatback pockets, and countertops
    • Cleaning and disinfecting passenger and employee-access areas in terminal, including offices, corridors, and restrooms.
    • Replenishing stock in passenger areas, including restroom supplies
    • Cleaning and sanitizing all restrooms, including vessel restrooms and terminal restrooms
    • Vacuuming and periodic shampooing of carpets
    • Sweeping, dust-mopping, wet-mopping, and machine-scrubbing floors
    • Periodic stripping and recoating of vinyl flooring
    • Occasional cleaning of biohazard / bodily fluids due to passenger motion sickness incidents

    Top applicants will be highly self-motivated and able to work effectively with little supervision. A proven track record for punctuality and reliability, as well as flexibility and willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment. Applicants will also need to be comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time in outdoor conditions, rain or shine; bending, stooping or crawling; lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 60 pounds manually; and pushing or pulling a pallet jack carrying up to 1200 pound. Custodial experience is a plus with a preference for working overnight shifts.

    We are looking for team players available to start immediately. This position is full-time, year-round. The schedule for this position is 6:30pm to 5:00am with a weekly alternating rotation of three and four work days, including one weekend day off every week. Flexibility is key. As it is an overnight position, the ability to remain awake and alert throughout the night is required. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English are required. Upon hire, you must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States and hold or immediately apply for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential.

    The Café Clerk is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and food and beverage quality while ensuring that safe food handling practices are adhered to. This job is a part time/full time seasonal position from April-September.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Demonstrates prompt and friendly customer service
    • Maintains a positive work environment
    • Prepares espresso, coffee and related beverages
    • Operates point of sales system and handles cash and credit card payments
    • Ensures consistency and quality of café products
    • Prepares sandwiches to order
    • Assists in maintaining all equipment in safe working condition
    • Assists with inventory and with unloading and stocking of café supplies
    • Strict adherence to all safety and health regulations
    • Answers phones and takes special orders
    • Assists Café Supervisor as required

    • General housekeeping; cleans and sanitizes work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.) as well as dining room
    • Other related duties as assigned

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • High school diploma or equivalent and experience working in coffee bar, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
    • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude are essential to interact with customers and employees
    • Reliable and dependable; ability to follow direction
    • Good communication skills; outgoing and friendly demeanor
    • Ability to perform repetitious activities
    • Valid King County Food Handler’s Permit

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
    • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time; occasional walking; climbing a step stool
    • Repetitive arm and hand movements; manual dexterity to wrap, package and stock product up to 30 lbs
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently; push and pull up to 100 lbs
    • Must have good vision, for this position requires working with sharp knives, slicer, box cutter and related equipment; will need to determine spoiled or damaged product

    This job has specific physical requirements that may require you to lift up to 50 lbs, to operate machinery with moving mechanical parts, bend, reach, kneel, squat, stand of a long period of time, or push/pull heavy loads. Qualified candidates will be contacted.
