  • arrowOn Board Attendant (Seasonal)
    We are looking for upbeat and professional men and women to join our team of crew members for the 2016 summer season. The On Board Attendant position offers a fun, rewarding and challenging job, working on the water and meeting new friends – a great job for students! This is a seasonal position with the potential for year-round employment. Your primary job will involve high interaction with passengers and providing excellent customer service. Enjoy the beautiful destination of Victoria, British Columbia!

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    • Sell Clipper products while underway and taking every available opportunity to promote these sales and reach team goals – food, beverage, sightseeing tours, gift shop and duty free
    • Using Point of Sales system
    • Luggage handling
    • Limited mariner duties – no experience required, we will train you!

    Qualifications and Skills Required:

    • U.S. Passport, Passport Card or Enhanced Driver’s License for entry into Canada and re-entry into U.S.
    • No prior DUI/DWI, negligent driving or felony convictions as this may impede entry into Canada
    • Pass a required Pre-Employment Drug Screen (including Marijuana) and submit to random USCG drug tests
    • Able to lift 70lbs
    • Available to work any shift, including weekends and holidays
    • Always punctual and reliable, team player, strong work ethic
    • Experience in restaurant, hospitality and customer service with emphasis in sales

    Please note: this position is seasonal in nature, and employment is NOT expected to extend beyond the end of September.

    Compensation:

    A competitive hourly wage of $13.00 per hour plus commission and tips. All shifts begin and end at Pier 69 on the Seattle waterfront.

    The Shore Support team is responsible for preparing cargo manifests, shipping, receiving, ordering and distribution of vessel stock. Shore Support also performs dockhand duties such as line handling, crane and pallet jack operation, as well as light janitorial duties. No dockhand experience? We will train you.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    We are looking for upbeat and professional men and women to join our team of café clerks to work on the water front at Pier 69. The Café Clerk position is a fun, fast paced job guaranteed to keep you on your toes! Your primary job will be interacting with our customers and passengers while providing quality food, beverages and service.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

    • Prompt and friendly customer service
    • Safely preparing and serving food
    • Preparing espresso, coffee and related beverages
    • Operate a point of sales system while accurately handling cash and credit card payments

    Qualifications and Skills Required:

    • Pass a required Pre-Employment Drug Screen (including Marijuana) and submit to random USCG drug tests
    • Current Washington State Food Handlers Card and MAST Permit
    • Repetitive arm and hand movements; manual dexterity to wrap, package and stock product up to 30 lbs. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently; push and pull up to 100 lbs.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Available to work any shift, including weekends and holidays

    • Requires vision for using sharp knives, box cutters and related equipment, being able to determine spoiled products
