Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following:

  • Lead all aspects of project management for enhancement of custom reservation system software, development, integration, and implementation of new custom reservation system
  • Coordinate efforts of and manage relationships of in-house stakeholders, headquarters, overseas external development teams; occasional early morning or evening calls.]

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Strong customer service focus

We are looking for upbeat and professional men and women to join our team of café clerks to work on the waterfront at Pier 69. The Café Clerk position is a fun, fast-paced job guaranteed to keep you on your toes! Your primary job will be interacting with our customers and passengers while providing quality food, beverages, and service.

Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):

  • Prompt and Friendly Customer Service
  • Safely preparing and serving food
  • Preparing espresso, coffee and related beverages
  • Operate a point of sales system while accurately handling cash and credit card payments

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Current Washington State Food Handlers Card and MAST Permit
  • Repetitive arm and hand movements; manual dexterity to wrap, package and stock product up to 30 lbs. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently; push and pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Available to work any shift, including weekends and holidays
  • Always punctual and reliable, team player, strong work ethic
  • Experience in restaurant, hospitality or customer service
  • Requires vision for using sharp knives, box cutters and related equipment, being able to determine spoiled products

David joined Clipper in April of 2014 as the VP of Business Development, was promoted to COO in January of 2015 and then promoted to co-CEO in May of 2017. David has been involved in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska travel industry for more than 27 years.  He began his career working for Holland America Line as a tour bus driver in Juneau, Alaska as a summer job during college.

David stayed with Holland America Line in several different capacities for over 15 years, spending the last 6 of those as the General Manager for Gray Line of Seattle and Horizon Coach Lines.  It was during this period that he first began working with Clipper as a partner in providing Northwest Getaways and in providing emergency services. David is a graduate of Gonzaga University and earned a B.S. in Business Administration.
