The Shore Support team plays an important role toward Clipper’s goal: creating amazing memories for our guests. This is an very active position that will keep you moving throughout your shift.

  • Filling vessels’ daily stock order (food, beverage, consumables, and cleaning supplies)

We are looking for a key contributor to our reservations team! The Assistant Reservations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the reservation’s office, managing the reservation supervisors, reservation agents and support staff. They will ensure that check-in is handled efficiently and that vessels depart on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure calls are being handled in a timely manner and lost calls are kept to a minimum acceptable level.
  • Coaching reservation agents and supervisors with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle/resolve customer service issues and complaints.
  • Monitor agent’s productivity, performance and attendance. Support, coach and counsel individual team members as needed to improve performance and productivity.
  • Conduct second interviews for potential reservation agents.

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to read electrical drawings

Position Overview:

The Shore Support team plays an important role toward Clipper’s goal: creating amazing memories for our guests. This is an very active position that will keep you moving throughout your shift.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Filling vessels’ daily stock order (food, beverage, consumables, and cleaning supplies)
  • Receiving cargo and other shipments
  • Keeping track of warehouse inventory
  • Ordering consumable supplies
  • Maintain an organized warehouse
  • Janitorial duties of the facility
  • Setting up and breaking down guest boarding areas
  • Luggage handling and using electrical hoists to transport luggage bins on/off vessels
  • Other tasks to help ensure the boats sail on time with all the supplies they need to provide our passengers with a First-Class service
  • Handling mooring lines – No dockhand experience? We will train you!

We are looking for a key contributor to our reservations team! The Assistant Reservations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the reservation’s office, managing the reservation supervisors, reservation agents and support staff. They will ensure that check-in is handled efficiently and that vessels depart on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure calls are being handled in a timely manner and lost calls are kept to a minimum acceptable level.
  • Coaching reservation agents and supervisors with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle/resolve customer service issues and complaints.
  • Monitor agent’s productivity, performance and attendance. Support, coach and counsel individual team members as needed to improve performance and productivity.
  • Conduct second interviews for potential reservation agents.
  • Train new agents on the Signature Customer Service Magic Formula and the call evaluation process.
  • Perform 90-day reviews for newly hired agents.
  • Counsel agents/supervisors as needed and document any issues.
  • Supervise/coordinate arrivals and departures of Victoria Clipper vessels.
  • Work with US Customs and Border Protection for vessel arrivals to clear inbound cargo shipments.
  • Ensure on time vessel departures.
  • Basic administration of the phone system including setting up new agent logins and long-distance codes.
  • Reporting and investigate phone system issues.
  • Facilitate weekly meeting with reservation supervisors.
  • Ensure reservation supervisors and agents complete assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Handle reservation supervisor and reservation manager tasks as needed.
  • Assist with reservation agent responsibilities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Previous experience managing call center employees.
  • Be able to multi-task, paying close attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop and motivate staff in a positive environment.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to stay calm during stressful situations.
