Seattle Whale Watching Tours
When can I see whales in Seattle?
The Seattle whale watching season is most popular between April to October when mammal-eating “Biggs” orca whales and salmon-eating resident orca whales (known as J, K, L pods) are observed in the Salish Sea between Seattle and the San Juan Islands. Gray whale watching near Seattle is commonly done in March and April as the migratory whales tuck into Puget Sound to feed along their journey north to Alaska.
