Baseball fans could catch a convenient mid-morning departure to Seattle if the playoff series goes ahead

VICTORIA, BC (October 8, 2025) – With both the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays one win away from advancing to the American League Championship Series (ALCS), FRS Clipper, operator of the Victoria Clipper fast ferry between Victoria and Seattle, is stepping up to the plate with a special 11 a.m. “Playoff Express” sailing from Victoria on October 15. The sailing will take place if the Blue Jays and Mariners face off in the ALCS in Seattle.

If the long-anticipated matchup comes to life, Games 3, 4, and 5 of the series are slated for October 15–17 at T-Mobile Park, and Canadian fans can ride the Clipper straight into the action.

“FRS Clipper has connected friends, families, and fans between Victoria and Seattle for nearly 40 years,” said Mark Collins, CEO of FRS Clipper. “This cross-border baseball showdown would be a home run for fans on both sides — and we’re thrilled to help Blue Jays supporters make the trip south to cheer their team on.”

The Clipper V ferry will depart Victoria’s Inner Harbour at 11 a.m., arriving in downtown Seattle around 2 p.m. Onboard fans will find special themed drinks and décor to celebrate this historic face-off. The sailing is now open for booking at frs-clipper.com. If either team is eliminated in the Division Series, the special sailing will be cancelled and guests will receive a full refund.

“The party is starting onboard,” said Collins, adding, “there’s no financial risk when you pre-book your ferry and hotel with us.”

In addition to the October 15 sailing, the Clipper V departs for Seattle at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 16. Return trips to Victoria depart at 8am from the 16th through the 20th.

To make the most of a Seattle trip, the October 15th sailing is the recommended departure for both Games 3 and 4. Fans can also book their hotel through FRS Clipper, which offers a 20% discount on ferry tickets with their BC neighbors appreciation fare, and an additional discount on two-night hotel stays via their Fall Sale. Fans are encouraged to book early, as sailings around Blue Jays games in Seattle have historically been among the most popular.
