Position Overview: The FRS Clipper Social Media Marketing Coordinator is a storyteller, educator, and community connector who brings our brand to life every day, transforming curiosity into unforgettable getaways. Through inspiring visuals, timely features, and entertaining observations, this role invites our future guests to imagine themselves somewhere new and inspires them to take the next step towards a great adventure.
Summary of Key Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
- Own and manage all organic social media operations, including planning, creating, and publishing content.
- Ensure all social content aligns with brand guidelines.
- Identify opportunities for the social media channels to jump on new trends to drive engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with Seattle and Victoria attractions and events as well as the latest Seattle-area whale and wildlife sightings of note.
- Ensure that social channels reflect priority projects and messages as set forth by leadership.
- Ensure key partners are featured in social channels regularly and in compelling ways.
- Where needed, provide context and training on social media marketing execution and best practices to internal stakeholders
- Manage daily community engagement.
- Lead influencer marketing, proactively identifying and implementing new partnerships with a positive ROI; maintain a database of contacts for future campaigns.
- Build a library of evergreen content available for social, website, and broadcast. Content should be both personally sourced and gathered in partnership with coworkers, influencers, industry partners, freelancers/agencies, and guests.
- Act as the lead POC for our paid social agency to drive bar-raising social creative, testing/data analysis, and campaign approvals.
- Monitor and analyze key marketing metrics and support weekly reporting.
- Lead projects that underline brand messages and give our guests reasons to travel.
- Collaborate internally to ensure website content aligns with and amplifies other digital content.
- Represent FRS Clipper at local events as needed.
- Execute on other special assignments designated by marketing leadership.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- 2+ years of marketing experience (travel and tourism experience preferred) with knowledge of content marketing strategy and best practices
- Proficiency using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
- Proficiency using MS office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint & MS Teams
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other social media best practices.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on turning insights into action.
- Excellent relationship, partner, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with photographers, videographers, agencies, and external partners (preferred)
Deck Officers
We currently have no openings for Captains and Mates. However, retirements are on the horizon, and we are accepting resumes for future consideration. Relief work is also possible.
The Victoria Clipper V is 910 tons and requires a STCW license II/2, with GMDSS and must be US or Canada issued.
