Due to low tides, the ramp at the dock in Coupeville will be very steep on the following dates (March 24, 25, April 21, 22 May 5) and it is recommended that people with walking challenges and wheelchair passengers choose different dates.

For select dates only, Clipper Vacations brings to you Gray Whale Watching from downtown Seattle with a 2 hour stop at historic Coupeville on Whidbey Island. Gray Whales are magnificent marine mammals reaching up to 50 feet in length and 35 tons. Every year they migrate north from Baja Mexico to Alaska with their calves in tow. Peak season to catch a glimpse of these large mammals in the Puget Sound's calm waters is in March, April and May. You will have two hours to visit the seaport town known for its delicious Penn Cove Mussels. Stop into one of its many excellent restaurants for lunch, tasty mussels or swing by its locally famous ice cream parlor for a sweet treat. Other features of Coupeville not to be missed are a saloon and the historic red wharf building containing the skeletons of a gray whale, a porpoise and a sea lion.
