A popular day trip destination for Clipper school field trips for over 26 years, Clipper gets you to Victoria in just over 2.5 hours. Teachers often use the voyage to have students learn about the area, follow the route map, do word games about Victoria, sealife, etc. Upon arrival, students can tour the Parliament Buildings, visit the Royal BC Museum, walk around the seawall, have lunch – or let us customize your trip. Daily departures from Seattle’s Pier 69.

Gray Whale Watching with Langley, Whidbey Island Stop
Gray Whales reach up to 50 feet in length and 35 tons – a memorable sight in the wild. Students will be educated about the whales and natural surroundings by a Trained Onboard Naturalist. There will also be a 2 hour stop in the quaint town of Langley. Known as an artists’ mecca, the town is filled with galleries featuring local and regional talent, an eclectic mix of jewelers, antiques, clothing boutiques and bookstores as well as the Langley Whale Center.

Orca Whale Watching with San Juan Island Stop
Students from 4th-12th grade will have a chance to view Orcas in the wild amid the San Juan Islands while learning about their habitat, transient vs. resident pods, how they interact, socialize, etc. Our trained onboard Naturalist will educate and also answer questions about other birds, wildlife and sealife spotted during the day. Sightings over the past two seasons averaged 95%!
During the 2.5 hours ashore in Friday Harbor, your students can visit the whale museum or enjoy free time. Brown bag lunches are permitted or food and beverages are available onboard.
