Haunted Victoria Weekend

Have a supernatural experience in Victoria
haunted Victoria Scary girl

Victoria is Canada's most haunted city! The cemeteries and narrow alleys are overflowing with eerie and mesmerizing stories of ghosts and paranormal encounters.  Spend the day exploring Victoria’s old buildings and spooky alleys on your own, or wait until the witching hour to enjoy a nocturnal narrated ghost tour including some of Victoria’s most intriguing tales of its more famous citizens.

Included with your overnight packages, is a fully escorted evening tour.  By lantern light, you will visit Pioneer Square, home of Victoria's first cemetery, and Bastion Square once the site of the public hangings at the hands of Sir Matthew Baillie Begbie, the notorious "hanging judge."

While you enjoy a hot cocoa, delight in the tales of haunted homes in James Bay where famous ghosts like John Helmcken and Emily Carr still make their presence known. Fingers crossed, you might just catch a glimpse of a ghost on this spirited tour!

Royal London Wax Museum
Chamber of Horrors - Wax Museum

Also included, is admission to the Royal London Wax Museum and the Chamber of Horrors. You can visit the museum on your own, at your convenience.  Royal London Wax Museum originally opened 1961 in a street level location of the Crystal Garden at the corner of Belleville and Douglas. It was at a time when the Crystal Garden housed Canada's largest salt water swimming pool. With floor space of about six thousand square feet and initially displaying some fifty wax figures, this attraction established North America's first exhibition of Tussaud wax figures from England.  It remains the "flagship" establishment on this continent, and is a major contributor to the City of Victoria's image and reputation as "A Little Bit of Olde England."
The museum is currently located at 470 Belleville St., next to the Coho.
