SHORE SUPPORT PERSON
The Victoria Clipper is a high-speed, passenger only catamaran ferry that runs daily service
between Seattle, Washington and Victoria, British Columbia, as well as to the San Juan Islands. We
operate year round, with a very busy peak season from April through October.
We are looking to fill a full-time Shore Support position immediately.
Duties include:
- Filling the vessel galley and supply requisitions
- Handling mooring lines
- Receiving cargo and other shipments
- Loading luggage into bins, operating pallet jacks and electrical hoists to swing the luggage bins on/off the vessels
- Assembling packaged meals for sales onboard
- Keeping track of shoreside inventory
- Ordering consumable supplies
- Preparing the passenger boarding area for loading and unloading operation
- Other tasks to help insure the boats sail on time with all the supplies they need to provide
our passengers with a First Class service
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Must have strong work ethic and be able to follow directions
- Must be self motivated
- Must be able to work well with others, as well as alone

service between Seattle, Washington and Victoria, British Columbia, as well as to the San Juan
Islands. We operate year round, with a very busy peak season from April through October.
We are hiring full time, seasonal (summer) On Board Attendants beginning now through May. Our
On Board Attendant positions allow you to enjoy a fun-loving, rewarding and challenging job,
working on the water and meeting lots of new friends. On Board Attendants are our direct customer
service representatives who serve our passengers at the highest levels and are well compensated.
They assist with passenger comfort and safety; food and beverage service; gift shop, duty free and
tour sales; luggage handling; and limited mariner duties.
Enjoy the beautiful destinations of Victoria, British Columbia and the San Juan Islands of
the great Pacific Northwest. Be home every night! All shifts begin and end at Pier 69 in Seattle.
In addition, add a new skill to your resume! On Board Attendants receive training, at company
expense, to qualify for and obtain a Merchant Mariner Document (MMD) from the U.S. Coast Guard.
Seatime gained while sailing on board can be used to upgrade your MMD credential.
Our On Board Attendants are paid on a progressive pay schedule, plus commissions. Average
earnings are $10.75/hr, which is $8.50/hour, plus commissions and tips. Upon completion of the Deck
Training Manual, an additional $.50/hour is paid to employees retroactive from their hire date.
Additionally, we provide a parking stipend of up to $100/month. Those who become year round
employees receive full benefits after three calendar months.
Since customer service and safety are priorities with the Victoria Clipper, we are looking
for applicants who are 19 years old or older, possess exceptional customer service skills, are able
to lift 70 lb. and are friendly and outgoing.

SALES & MARKETING INTERN
Responsibilities include:
- Support sales team-researching tours, calling hotels, putting together pricing for clients
- Updating database
- Updating vendor files
- Sales Calls – brochure delivery to local agents and concierge at hotels
- Past year/current year comparison sales reports
- Research on publications and media
- May be called upon to print tickets, file, greet groups, move luggage, answer phones and general office duties.
- Support for Destination Services NW, a destination management company. Custom proposals including program design of events.
Requirements include:
- Must be proficient in Office Programs including Word and Excel. Knowledge of Act Database program helpful, and DOS-based systems for assisting in inputting client reservations.
- Must be upbeat and be able to multi-task.
- Looking for an individual with initiative for completing projects and moving on to the next project with minimal supervision.
Hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, although some early mornings may be required.
Looking for a 3-month commitment (Summer filled, but accepting resumes for Fall and Winter
quarter)
Part-time opportunity also available.
Stipend: $200.00 per week

PRODUCT & MARKETING INTERN
- Work with vendors regarding re-sale of their products
- Help create marketing materials for a new reservation and sales program
- Work closely with hotels in the Pacific Northwest regarding rates, inventory and special promotions
- Manage inventory that is sold through Clipper Vacations
- May be called upon to proofread and update web pages, assist the Product Manager with client files, adding new products (hotels, tours, etc), and general office duties such as filing, managing databases and writing copy.
- Must be proficient in Office Programs including Word and Excel
- Possess knowledge of Act Database program helpful, and DOS based systems
- Must be upbeat and be able to multi-task
- Possess initiative for completing projects and moving on to the next project with minimal supervision
